Understand the Wider Picture
A comprehensive cognitive and neurodivergence assessment for adults who want to understand not only how they think and learn, but whether ADHD and/or autism may also form part of their wider profile.
The assessment brings together cognitive findings, learning history, current experiences and deeper neurodivergence exploration to build a clearer understanding of how the different parts of your profile fit together.

UK-wide online, with in-person appointments across East Sussex, surrounding areas and Essex.
Adults wanting to understand a broader neurodivergent profile
Particularly where questions extend beyond a specific learning difference to ADHD and/or autism.
A detailed report with an integrated understanding of your profile
Including findings, conclusions, practical recommendations and appropriate next steps.
SpLD diagnosis + broader ADHD/autism exploration
Specific learning differences can be formally identified where supported. ADHD and autism findings are considered differently, as explained below.
When Might a Holistic Assessment Be Useful?
A Holistic Assessment may be useful when you want to understand how several aspects of your experience may connect, rather than exploring one area in isolation.
Learning & processing
You want to understand your cognitive and learning profile, including whether a specific learning difference may be relevant.
Attention & executive functioning
You notice patterns around attention, task initiation, organisation, impulsivity or managing competing demands.
Social & sensory experiences
You want to understand patterns relating to communication, social situations, sensory experiences, routines or predictability.
The wider picture
You have wondered whether several aspects of your experience may form part of a broader neurodivergent profile.
Looking mainly at dyslexia or another SpLD?
If your main question relates to a specific learning difference rather than ADHD or autism, the £650 Cognitive SpLD Assessment may be the more appropriate starting point.
View Cognitive SpLD AssessmentBringing the Different Parts of the Picture Together
The assessment is tailored to the questions you want answered. Not every person needs every element, and ADHD and autism exploration is selected according to your presentation and assessment question.
How you think and learn
A cognitive assessment forms the core of the assessment, building a picture of areas such as reasoning, working memory and processing speed.
Literacy and other learning measures can be included where relevant, including exploration of specific learning differences.
Attention & executive functioning
Where relevant, deeper ADHD exploration can consider patterns across attention, activity, impulsivity, organisation and executive functioning across your life.
Communication, sensory experience & patterns
Where relevant, autism exploration can consider social communication, sensory experiences, routines, interests and the ways you understand and navigate different situations.
Your experiences in context
Relevant wellbeing and mental health factors can also be explored so that the findings are understood within the wider context of your experiences rather than interpreted in isolation.
From First Enquiry to Your Report
Before the assessment
You provide background information about your development, education, work and the areas you would particularly like to understand.
Your assessment
We complete the cognitive assessment alongside the additional learning, ADHD and/or autism exploration relevant to your individual assessment question.
Your profile
The different sources of information are considered together to understand the overall pattern and how the different elements may connect.
Your report
You receive a detailed written report within 10 working days, explaining the findings, conclusions, practical recommendations and appropriate next steps.
A Joined-Up Understanding of Your Profile
The aim is not simply to produce separate scores or screening results, but to understand how the different parts of your profile fit together and what that means in practice.
A clearer understanding of how you think, learn and experience demands
The report explains areas of strength, areas that may take more effort and how the different findings relate to one another.
Clear conclusions with appropriate boundaries
Where supported, specific learning differences can be formally identified. ADHD and autism findings are explained according to the scope of this assessment.
Recommendations that connect to everyday life
Recommendations may consider work, study, routines, communication, sensory needs, strategies and further assessment where relevant.

Understanding What the Findings Mean
Different elements of the assessment have different diagnostic boundaries. These are explained clearly in your report.
Specific learning differences
Where the evidence supports it, the assessment can provide a formal diagnosis of a specific learning difference such as dyslexia.
Consistent with ADHD and/or autism
The assessment can identify whether the overall pattern of findings is consistent with ADHD and/or autism, but it does not provide a formal medical diagnosis of either condition.
Where findings are consistent with ADHD or autism, further specialist assessment will be recommended for formal confirmation.
Supporting further assessment
Where appropriate, the findings can help clarify what type of specialist assessment may be useful next. A supporting GP letter can also be provided to explain the findings and recommended next steps.
Before You Book
Does this assessment formally diagnose ADHD or autism?
No. The assessment can identify whether the overall pattern of findings is consistent with ADHD and/or autism, but formal diagnosis requires further specialist assessment.
Can it diagnose dyslexia?
Yes. Where the evidence supports it, the assessment can provide a formal diagnosis of a specific learning difference such as dyslexia.
Do I have to explore both ADHD and autism?
No. The assessment is tailored to your individual presentation and the questions you want answered. ADHD and autism exploration is included where relevant rather than automatically completing every element for every person.
What if the findings suggest ADHD or autism?
The report will explain the findings and recommend appropriate specialist assessment for formal confirmation. A supporting GP letter can also be provided where useful.
How is this different from the Cognitive SpLD Assessment?
The Cognitive SpLD Assessment focuses on cognitive and learning differences. The Holistic Assessment includes that cognitive foundation but adds deeper exploration of ADHD and/or autism where relevant.
How long will it take to receive my report?
Your full written report is provided within 10 working days of the assessment.
