What may help in practice

WPNA or Complex Workplace Support?
Understanding what support may help now
A WPNA is designed to understand the employee, role and workplace context and identify practical adjustments or support.
“What does this employee need in this role, and what may help?”When support has already been considered or tried
Complex Workplace Support is designed for situations where assessment, Occupational Health advice, adjustments or other support are already in place or have been tried, but questions remain.
“What has happened so far, why has support only partly helped, and what should happen next?” Explore Complex Workplace SupportBefore You Arrange a WPNA
Does the employee need a diagnosis?
No. A Workplace Needs Assessment focuses on the employee’s functional needs within their role. A formal neurodivergent diagnosis is not required.
Why do you speak with the manager or HR?
Their input helps clarify the role, workplace demands and what can realistically be implemented. This allows recommendations to reflect both the employee’s experience and the actual working context.
Can the assessment be completed online?
Yes. Workplace Needs Assessments can be completed online in the UK and internationally. Selected in-person appointments are also available.
Who receives the report?
The employee receives the report first. It can then be shared with the manager, HR or another organisational contact with the employee’s consent.
How quickly is the report provided?
The full written Workplace Needs Assessment report is provided within 8 working days.
What if adjustments have already been tried?
Where substantial assessment, advice or workplace support has already been considered or tried and questions remain, Complex Neurodivergent Workplace Support may be a more appropriate route.
