When the Wider Workplace Picture Needs Bringing Together
An in-depth workplace service for situations where assessment, Occupational Health advice, adjustments or other support have already been considered or tried, but further understanding is needed.
We review what has happened so far, bring together employee and workplace perspectives and explore why previous support may have only partly helped or why questions remain.

Across employee and workplace discussions.
Previous evidence, support, context and different perspectives.
With a practical plan and recommendations.
Employees & organisations where questions remain
Particularly where previous assessment, advice or workplace support has not yet produced a sufficiently clear or sustainable way forward.
Review + consultations + follow-up
Relevant evidence is reviewed alongside employee and workplace perspectives, with follow-up discussions before the report is completed.
A clearer, sustainable plan
To understand what has happened so far, identify interacting factors and clarify what may be most useful next.
When Adjustments Alone Have Not Answered the Whole Question
This service is designed for situations where there is already some understanding, advice or support in place, but the different parts of the workplace picture have not yet come together clearly enough.
Support has only partly helped
Adjustments or recommendations may have been introduced, but the hoped-for impact has been limited, inconsistent or difficult to sustain.
Different perspectives need bringing together
The employee and workplace may understand the situation differently, or important information may sit across several reports or conversations.
Several factors may be interacting
Role demands, communication, working practices, neurodivergent needs, wellbeing or organisational context may all be relevant.
The next step is unclear
There may already be substantial information available, but no clear agreement yet about what should happen next.
Understanding What Has Happened So Far
The service starts with the existing picture rather than beginning again from scratch.
Reports & recommendations
Relevant assessment reports, Occupational Health advice, recommendations and other available evidence can be reviewed.
Adjustments & support
We consider what has already been put in place, what has helped, what has not and what may have affected the outcome.
The person’s experience
How the employee experiences their role, environment, communication, expectations, support and current ways of working.
The role & organisational context
Role requirements, management perspective, workplace systems and what can realistically be implemented are considered alongside the employee’s experience.
A More In-Depth Workplace Review

60 minutes
An opportunity to explore the emerging understanding and proposed approach before the report is finalised.
30 minutes
A focused discussion about the emerging picture and practical next steps from the workplace perspective.
A Clearer Picture & Practical Plan
The final report brings together the history, previous support, consultations and psychological understanding into one coherent workplace plan.
A clear summary of the existing picture
Including previous advice, support already considered or tried and the key issues identified through the review.
How the different factors may connect
A psychological formulation bringing together employee, role, workplace and contextual factors where relevant.
Practical recommendations & a way forward
A clear proposed plan designed to support more sustainable ways of working and decision-making.
Any additional meetings, implementation support or further work after the report can be agreed separately where useful.

WPNA or Complex Workplace Support?
Understanding what support may help
A WPNA explores the employee, role and workplace context to identify practical, role-specific adjustments and support.
“What does this employee need in this role, and what may help?” Explore Workplace Needs AssessmentUnderstanding why questions remain
Designed for situations where assessment, advice or support have already been considered or tried, but a broader understanding is needed.
“What has happened, why has support only partly helped, and what should happen next?”Before You Enquire
Does the employee need a diagnosis?
No. The service is based on the workplace situation and the information already available. A formal diagnosis is not required.
Do you review previous reports?
Yes. Relevant assessment reports, Occupational Health advice, recommendations and information about previous support can form part of the review.
How is this different from a Workplace Needs Assessment?
A WPNA focuses on identifying what support may help within the role. Complex Workplace Support is intended where support or advice has already been considered or tried and further understanding is needed.
Who is involved?
The standard package includes separate employee and employer consultations, followed by shorter follow-up discussions with each.
Is a post-report meeting included?
No. The written report completes the standard service. Additional meetings or implementation support can be agreed separately where useful.
Who is this service particularly useful for?
It can be particularly useful for organisations, HR, Occupational Health and EAP providers where a workplace situation needs a more detailed psychological review and clearer next steps.
